Royal interior is also available in the full Royal Exterior colour range for use on interior wood and joinery including skirting boards, window and door frames, furniture, doors, kitchen units and wood panelling.

We offer a wide range of garden sheds with various levels of treatment. So, if you haven't opted for a pressure-treated shed (which comes with a 15-year anti-rot guarantee) you timber will come with golden spray treatment. This will protect the wood throughout transport, but we advise applying wood preserver before installation and then annually.

Wood Treatment For Wooden Sheds

Whether it's garden furniture or a wooden shed, Protek exterior finish offers excellent protection to untreated wood. Protective treatments on any wooden surface will help ensure it's longevity (for a fraction of the cost of having to replace anything due to mould!). These types of wood finishes also come in a range on colours, so you can have protection against wood rot without skimping on style.

Water-Based Finishes

We offer a range of colours from snow to silver-grey. Water-based treatments combat moulds and fungi including the discolouration caused by blue stain.

Wood Stain Dry Time

Protek exterior finish is fast drying and rainproof with a drying time of just 2hrs.

Application

Make sure you're applying to planed smooth timber (like the panels we use in our BillyOh wooden sheds) and, using a clean cloth, wipe down the entire surface. Make sure you have a 24-hour window without wet or humid conditions in which to apply the wood preserver.

Apply a base coat using a natural bristle brush onto each piece of wood. Wipe off any excess stain with a cloth and leave to dry. Re-paint 2-3 coats for effective protection. Or check out our wood stain application guide below.
